Payment of PC fees

If you have chosen to pay your practising certificate fee by EFT (bank transfer), please print a copy of the PC Receipt for EFT page. You do not need to send a copy of the application form once it has been submitted online.

Your practising certificate (PC) application is only deemed to be fully received by the Society once the completed EFT form or card payment is received by the Society. Payment by cheque is no longer accepted.

How to pay

A solicitor can make an individual payment for PC fees by EFT as well as by card (Visa or Mastercard payments only accepted for individual online applications).

If your firm is paying for your PC, please select pay by EFT as your payment option. You don't need to take any further action as your Firm Admin will generate the payment.

Confirmation of payment

No confirmation email is sent after submission of your PC form online, but you can access your receipt and payment status online under My Orders.

Check the approval status of your application form by going to My Applications.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Payment by EFT can be made by selecting EFT during the PC application process.

Please send the completed EFT form to pc@lawsociety.ie.

  • Visit the Firm Administration section to access your pre-populated EFT form. (Please note, only Firm Admins can access this secure area).

Firm Administrators

You can apply to be a firm administrator and manage the PC payments for your firm or branch, and update your Firm name or details - see Firm Admin. You can also print the pre-populated EFT form with all the required details for selected solicitors to send to the Society with each solicitor's PC Receipt for EFT page.
