Matheson scoops two tax awards as unit expands

Matheson has been named both Irish Tax Firm of the Year and Irish Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year by the International Tax Review (ITR) at its tax awards 2021, for the second year in a row.

The ITR’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) awards have taken place annually since 2005.

Matheson represents many of the leading international companies and financial institutions operating in and from Ireland, and has offices in New York, Palo Alto and San Francisco.

Over the past year, its tax group has advised on several public and private M&A deals, restructurings and loan transactions.

Expand

Matheson says that its transfer pricing practice continues to expand, advising on an increased volume of transfer-pricing audits, advanced pricing agreements and recent changes to the Irish transfer-pricing rules.

Chair of the tax department John Ryan commented: “We are delighted to once again be acknowledged as having the leading tax advisory and transfer pricing practices in Ireland, especially by such a prestigious and international publication as the International Tax Review.”
