Calcutta Run tag-rugby contest raises €20,000

The Bar Council of Ireland has emerged as the winner of the Rogers Recruitment Calcutta Tag Rugby contest 2024.

The tournament took place between the Blackhall Place and TU Dublin playing fields on 29 June, with more than €20,000 raised for charity by the 32 participating teams.

Despite the weather, spirits were high and a great day of tag rugby was had.

The last event of the 26th Calcutta Run was sponsored by Greg Rogers of Rogers Recruitment.

Tournament organisation was led by Sarah Long and Rachael Slattery (A&L Goodbody LLP).

Flynn O’Driscoll were runners-up, while Clark Hill and McCann FitzGerald were semi-finalists.

A huge congratulations also to Sophie Goulding of McCann FitzGerald and Conor Rubalcava BL (Bar Council of Ireland) who were named players of the day.
