Midlands solicitors’ event to aid MND charity

The Midlands Solicitors Bar Association (MSBA), in conjunction with the Courts Service, is hosting a coffee morning on 22 July at 11am in Mullingar Courthouse.

The event is in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, and will honour the association's late friend and colleague Vicky McCarthy Keane, who passed away from motor neurone disease (MND) in December 2022.

Donations

Before her death, she had spoken to the Gazette about how she had coped with the disease.

The event will hear a tribute from the President of the Law Society Barry MacCarthy. In a letter to be read at the event, he will describe Vicky McCarthy Keane as “a dedicated and compassionate solicitor”.

The organisers say that any donations to the charity will be very much appreciated, and will go towards helping individuals and providing support to families of individuals in Ireland diagnosed with MND.

Donations can be made by contacting Denise at secretary@midlandbarassoc.ie.
