Simmons & Simmons profit per equity partner up 7%

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has reported strong growth for the year ending 30 April 2024.

Following significant investment, the unaudited financial results (24 July) show headline figures of:

  • Revenue of £574 million – up 10% on previous financial year,
  • Profit of £204 million – up 8%, and
  • Profit per equity partner of just over £1 million – up 7% on the previous financial year, and up by over 50% over the last five years.

The positive results were partly down to the expansion of the firm’s partnership, including 24 lateral partner hires across ten countries.

Expanded

The Irish office expanded its partnership to ten, welcoming corporate partner Micheál Mulvey and banking partner Kate Curneen, alongside the promotion of Andrea Brennan to dispute-resolution, restructuring, and special-situations partner.

The growing Dublin office has recently moved to One Molesworth Street.

Country head Rachel Stanton said: “I am thrilled to share our latest financial results which underscore the robust growth and resilience of Simmons & Simmons.

“Our Irish office has played a pivotal role in this success, contributing significantly to the firm’s overall performance.”
