Addleshaw Goddard plans new Dublin office

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard is to move to new offices in Dublin city centre in January next year.

The announcement came as the firm reported that its Irish revenue had grown by 45% since a merger with Eugene F Collins in 2022.

Addleshaw Goddard said that growth at the firm has been driven by a strong performance in the corporate practice, as well as the addition of new practices covering tax, financial regulation, and energy.

Referrals

The firm added that its international footprint had resulted in “significant” referrals of new business to Ireland, particularly from Britain.

Over the past two years, Addleshaw Goddard has increased staff numbers by 15% to 135 in Ireland.

The firm is targeting a further 10-15% growth in staff numbers this year, with the new, larger office enabling the firm to accommodate over 200 people.

Growth strategy

Mark Walsh (head of Ireland) said: "To deliver double-digit growth each year since the merger is very satisfying and, once again, we are targeting double-digit growth in 2024.”

Walsh said that the firm would continue to invest in the tax, financial-regulation, and energy practices.

“Our move to a modern, new office space will facilitate our growth strategy as we look to retain and attract the best talent,” he stated, adding that Addleshaw Goddard internationally was seeking to double in size by 2030.
