Awards for Irish women business lawyers

Three Irish firms took home prizes at the Women in Business Law 2024 Awards in London earlier this week.

The awards, which covered the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, aim to recognise initiatives that promote women in law, as well as honouring the leading women practitioners from over 30 practice areas.

Matheson was named as ‘Firm of the Year’ for Ireland, and also took the award for national firms in the pro bono category.

Individual awards

Matheson lawyers also picked up individual awards, with Susanne McMenamin named ‘Corporate Governance Lawyer of the Year’, Sally Anne Stone ‘Real Estate Lawyer of the Year’, Caroline Austin ‘Tax Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year’, and Audrey Kean ‘Rising Star – Tax’.

Arthur Cox won two awards, with finance partner Ruth Lillis named ‘Aviation Lawyer of the Year’ and Tara Roche (senior associate, litigation, dispute resolution, and investigations) taking the award for ‘Rising Star – Litigation’.

Sarah Murphy of A&L Goodbody was named ‘Litigator of the Year’.
