The Law Society Annual Report is now online. This publication features key insight on the work of the Law Society over the past year, including the In-House and Public Sector Committee.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) has provided information on arrangements for the receipt of notifications under Section 4 of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018. Section 4 places an obligation on an applicant for the grant or renewal of a licence under the Licensing Acts 1833 to 2011, or for the grant or renewal of a certificate of registration under the Registration of Clubs Acts 1904 to 2007, to notify the HSE National Environmental Health Service in writing of their intention to apply one month in advance of doing so.

The Law Society’s inaugural Climate Justice Conference addressed key issues affecting climate and environmental justice, including the Planning and Development Bill 2023; biodiversity and the climate crisis; ethics and climate conscious lawyering and climate litigation.
