Dear Colleagues,

The Law Society is seeking the views of all solicitors in your area to assist in the development of the Law Society’s 2024-2028 strategy, in a survey that will issue by email from Wednesday 19 April.

Background

The current Statement of Strategy for the Law Society expires in December 2023. Given the scale of challenge that the profession and wider society has encountered over the last few years, it is necessary and prudent to review, adapt and harness the potential of the Law Society for its members while also taking into account the public interest.

At this early stage of the process, we want to hear your views on the challenges facing the profession and to play a key role in shaping the priorities of the Law Society for the next five years. We also want to hear how we can shape our resources and capabilities for the solicitors’ profession and in the public interest.

Completing the survey

From 19 April, solicitors in your area will receive an email from our survey partner, Behaviour & Attitudes, with a link to complete a survey by Tuesday 2 May. It will have the subject line ‘Law Society Survey - B&A Research’, and come from the sender info@bandasurvey.ie. The survey will take 10-12 minutes to complete, and answers that you submit are anonymised and secure.

I would ask you to look out for this email in your inbox from 19 April and to complete the survey. This is the opportunity to hear your voice for your future and for the future of your Law Society.
