Litigation

Role of the Committee

Joe_OMalley.jpgThe Litigation Committee comprises 23 members of the profession, representing a broad spectrum of litigation practice. The Committee reviews proposed legislative changes and makes submissions where necessary and appropriate.

Changes in legal practice and procedure are also monitored and such changes are brought to the attention of the profession by way of Practice Notes, which are published in the Society's Gazette.

Part of the Committee's brief is to deal with the representative bodies of other professions that are involved in the litigation process e.g. Medical Council of Ireland, Irish Insurance Federation etc.
