How to create a jobseeker profile

The Law Society operates the CV Register for the purpose of allowing the following jobseekers to upload CVs and cover notes to a secure area of the Law Society’s Website: Solicitors seeking employment; PPC Trainees seeking a secondment; or FE-1 students seeking a traineeship. A separate CV Register is maintained for each group and can only be searched by jobseekers when they have logged into a secure area of the Law Society Website.

To join the relevant CV Register each jobseeker must fully and accurately complete a series of questions on their jobseeker profile. Clicking Activate will add a CV to the CV Register for 28 days.

To keep an account on the CV Register it must be activated by the Jobseeker at least once a month. An email reminder will be sent if requested on the jobseeker profile form.

Jobseekers will be contacted directly by a prospective employer(s) for the purpose of arranging an interview(s). The Law Society is not involved in any aspect of the interview process or resulting job offer(s), if any.

To keep the CV Register up-to-date, a jobseeker should deactivate their account when he or she secures a position.
