News

  • The December Gazette features a report on this year’s online In-house and Public Sector Conference. Amanda Shantz, MBA Director TCD, presented on teamwork and teambuilding, and the role of the in-house legal function in facilitating this. Derek Hegarty, William Fry Partner, addressed the conference with a guide to legal professional privilege for in-house counsel. Both presentations were followed by interactive panel discussions with in-house panellists from the private and public sectors. Read the report

  • A new programme offers career support for newly qualified and qualifying colleagues. The Boost Programme, delivered by the Support Services section, offers one-to-one and group support for solicitors dealing with an uncertain jobs market. Find out about the Boost Programme

Training

  • Law Society Finuas Skillnet is offering an updated Employment Law Masterclass in an online, on-demand format. The course covers timely issues including fair and unfair dismissals, mandatory retirement, gender discrimination and more. View the Masterclass 
  • The Certificate in Strategic Leadership for in-house lawyers will return in January 2021.
