  • The In-house and Public Sector Committee, in partnership with Law Society Finuas Skillnet, held a Panel Discussion in May focusing on the practical side of remote working for in-house solicitors in the private and public sectors, at a time of fundamental change. Topics ranged from the employment law obligations that arise in this context, the future of the office, Data Protection to litigation and running cases remotely. Read about the event
  • The Spring 2021 edition of the In-House Lawyer magazine is now online. Topics in the magazine cover the future of dispute resolution, digital art and legal issues in Japan, changes in the Irish business interruption insurance market, and more. Read the magazine
  • The European Company Lawyers Association (ECLA) has published information on its Corporate Counsel Academy. Courses on offer range from English language courses for lawyers, to courses on substantive issues and on practical matters, such as media training. See course details

Training

  • The 2021 In-House and Public Sector Annual Conference will take place online on 14 October 2021. Presentations will explore working from home / hybrid working, wellbeing and arbitration / jurisdictional clauses, followed by interactive panel discussions with panel members from both the private and public sectors.
