Maintenance/Emergency Actions
Click below for the procedures to follow in Blackhall Place and the Education Centre regarding issues with water supply, heating, electricial supply, fuse boards, fire alarms, security and flooding. There are also operation instructions for the audio-visual system, franking machine, Library attic ladder and exam paper photocopying.
Archive Storage
In addition to affixing the bar code label to the archive box when putting material into storage, staff will be required to complete the sections on a contents label, which should also be affixed to the box. All sections on this label should be completed but, most importantly, you must specify a 'Review/Destruction Date'. This date will be used subsequently to prompt a review of the boxed content at the appropriate time in the future. It should generally be fixed at 6 years from the date when the box is first stored and only in exceptional circumstances should it exceed this.
